Bring Up The Lights Campaign

As we emerge from the pandemic, the BSPAC board has the goal of continuing to be the venue where on-stage entertainment and education in the performing arts occurs in Borrego Springs. As we begin to plan for future performances, we are also focusing on the replacement of our 40-year old stage lighting system.

• There are safety issues with the existing lighting system that we wish to address.
• The existing lights are incandescent. New lights are LED and consume much less power. There will be significant savings in electrical utility costs for BSPAC.
• The current lighting system has technical limitations for lighting design, performance value and technical challenges.  A newly design lighting system with LED lighting instruments and DMX control will allow us to fully and efficiently light our entire stage with improved lighting capabilities.
  
  

As we search for support from private and government sources of funding, we are once again asking for your support in this effort.  We have started a campaign to raise funds for 'Bring Up the Lights' in March.  We are more than 75% of the way to our goal.

A viable and active performing arts center is one of the factors that makes Borrego Springs a wonderful place to visit and to live in.
